At ASJA BOYS’ COLLEGE , the Science, Physical Education, and Technological Design (TD) Department is committed to empowering students to think critically, stay active, and solve real-world problems. In Science, students develop a strong foundation in STEM—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on experiments and inquiry-based learning. This approach builds essential skills in analysis, problem-solving, and evidence-based reasoning. Our PE program promotes a healthy lifestyle , teamwork, and resilience, while TD challenges students to innovate using modern tools and engineering concepts.

Our group of very experienced and dedicated teachers utilize their wealth of experience along with best practices in curriculum and instruction to continue to help students grow as curious, capable, and well-rounded individuals prepared for success in school and beyond.

The Business Department at the school opens students to the world of work, business and entrepreneurship. Students are encourage to fulfill their dreams while becoming productive members of society. These dreams are possible through the dedicated and well-trained teachers who encourage students to explore their innate abilities to the many possibilities the business world has to offer.

The mission of the Business Department is to ensure students learn in a multiplicity of settings using various methods that will eventually produce adaptable responsible, life-long learners and eventually ethical citizens capable of making informed decisions in a changing global economy.

This links to the department’s vision statement where we strive to ensure students learning and development is enhanced through a collaborative, participative and dynamic environment where they are able to evaluate themselves and take charge of goal settings and future direction and to further enhance this through an integrated and facilitative structures that the department offers. Therefore, students are now geared with the ability to capture the business world with what they have learnt at school.

Teachers through their well-developed scheme of work are able to capitalize on the teaching and learning experience to enhance student’s creativity into the business world. This allows the student to empower the business world at present and have the readiness be able to engage in the future thought processes for ultimate success.

The Business Department of A.S.J.A. Boys’ College, San Fernando imparts on any individual the tools to fit into our multi dynamic world. The Modern Studies Department at ASJA Boys’ College, San Fernando is committed to fostering critical thinkers, responsible citizens, and future leaders through the dynamic exploration of human society, the environment, and the Caribbean experience. Under the leadership of Mrs. Nesha Ramdeo-Kissoon, the department delivers high-quality instruction in Geography, History, Environmental Science, Caribbean Studies, and Social Studies, empowering students to understand their world and shape it with purpose.

Each subject area plays a vital role in nurturing awareness, inquiry, and civic responsibility. Geography builds spatial awareness and environmental consciousness, History fosters identity and cultural understanding, Environmental Science promotes sustainability and innovation, Caribbean Studies deepens regional knowledge and pride, while Social Studies develops interpersonal skills, empathy, and global perspective.

Religious Knowledge Department

The Religious Knowledge Department at ASJA Boys’ College, San Fernando is led by the qualified, dynamic and compassionate Maulana Sheraaz Mohammed. The Department is dedicated to nurturing students' understanding and practice of Islam through a balanced and engaging curriculum. Our aim is to instill strong moral values, deepen faith, and encourage students to embody Islamic teachings in their daily lives.

The Religious Knowledge Department vision is to nurture students in Islamic morals and values and academic excellence to support their holistic development, becoming model citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.

Our mission is to prepare our students in becoming role models steeped in Islamic values which integrate our multi-cultural society.

In addition to classroom learning, students participate in interactive activities such as Qur'an recitation competitions, Islamic events, Islamic assemblies, and community service projects, all aimed at building character and strengthening their connection to our creator Allah (SWT). The department works closely with parents and the wider school community to support the spiritual development of each student, ensuring they grow into responsible, respectful, and knowledgeable young Muslims.
